Home' Scoop : Scoop 50 Summer 2009 Contents Always fabulous, Lisa Ho has been beautifying
Australia for the past 24 years, and has one of
our most recongisable and sought-after brands.
Renowned for floaty, chic dresses, her new store
in the enex100 complex has arrived just in time
for party season. She's dressed more than a few
celebs in her time -- ever heard of a little Latina
by the name of Jennifer Lopez? That's right,
chicas; this lady knows glam. So, heels on and
eyes open as we take five with Lisa Ho.
What's hot for frocks this summer?
I would say a flirty print dress with interesting
detail... something that when you put on a heel,
you are ready for a party.
Which summer trends should we avoid?
Anything that doesn't suit, otherwise you will
look like a victim.
Which is your favourite look from your SS/09
Nicely tailored jackets worn back with shorts and
a cool tank, and of course -- a great heel.
You dress a lot of red carpet celebrities, who
has been your favourite so far?
Probably Sarah Wynter (Aussie actor making it
big on US TV). She looked like a goddess in the
pale flesh dress she wore to the Emmy's.
Who would you dress if you could, alive or dead?
Madonna. I think she has identified and created
trends. She is always ahead of the pack.
The new Lisa Ho boutique is at enex100, 100 St
Georges Tce, Perth.
If you think you'd be right at home in Los Angeles,
cruising down Rodeo Drive in your Benz with the
top down, then perhaps you'll want to take a peek
at Wembley's latest offering, Three Bears.
Geared toward delivering LA chic to Perth's
glamour set, they're offering high-end labels like
Agua Bendita, Joe's Jeans and True Religion;
designs to take you, and whichever man you
might have in your life, from beach to bellini and
Three Bears has earned its name not from
mamma, poppa and baby but from Dunsborough's
world famous surf break, a location accessible only
Owner Jennifer Rule elaborates: "We feel the
name symbolises the uniqueness of the clothing
we stock, and like the surfing location, will appeal
most to those who dare to venture of the world of
the unknown." Bonus: you don't need a 4WD -- or
even a Mercedes to access them. Three Bears is at
339 Cambridge St, Wembley, (08) 9381 2180.
