Open just over a year, The Publican Bar & Cafe
has quickly become the "it" place to dine, catch up
with friends and celebrate a special occasion in the
trendy East Victoria Park entertainment precinct.
It's relaxed, comfortable and stylish without
being pretentious, and with four distinct areas, the
venue offers something for everyone.
The alfresco courtyard is protected from the
busy Albany Highway traffic and is perfect for a
private summer soiree or a lazy Sunday catch up
with friends. Inside, the cafe is a relaxed area where
friends can be found sharing tapas, tucking into
one of the Publican's famous steaks and enjoying
wines from the approachable wine list.
Then there's the bar and lounge area. Perfect
for pre and post-dinner drinks, or just as a place
to hang out with friends, the lounge bar is a funky
space where music lovers can enjoy a wide range of

Wednesdays is open mic night. On Thursdays,
spunky duo Bumpy Johnson plays popular covers.
Friday afternoon sundowners are accompanied by
the cool acoustic sounds of The Symes Brothers.
A funk and house DJ takes Saturday punters late
into the evening. Then on Sunday, the session gets
started thanks to Tod Woodward's laidback vibes --
the perfect way to see out the weekend.
The Publican does great music and entertain-
ment exceptionally well. It also specialises in
functions. From private parties for 10 through
