Moet and models? A match made in heaven. Take
the afternoon off and head to Fashion Friday at The
Globe Wine Bar & Restaurant – not only will you be
fed to the brim with a tasty two-course meal from
those crafty kitchen heroes at The Globe, but you’ll
also be sipping on Moet and drinking in a sweet
showcase from Zara Bryson boutique. If you haven’t
popped by yet, what’s your excuse? Zara’s got a keen
eye for new standout labels, her selections are pretty
flawless, and the service is always excellent. Expect a
showcase of local designers Carly Hunter and Garth
Cook (who will be in attendance), as well as New
Zealanders Karen Walker and Hopetown, plus plenty
more. Fashion Friday, September 10, $85 +bf, (08)

Only way is UP!
Perth Fashion Festival, or PFF for short, is back again, and it’s shooting for the sky. The theme for 2010
is UP! – forecasting the career trajectory of Western Australia’s best and brightest designers, models,
boutiques, and all the other faces that make WA’s scene so distinctive. We’ve g ot stars and designers (think
Jennifer Hawkins, Anna Plunkett and Luke Sales, jeans queen Bettina Liano and it’s r umoured Alannah
Hill and Alex Perry may show up) jetting in for the festivities, a bar custom-built to handle post-show
thirst, and plenty of surprises along the way (we hear Ruth Tar vydas has an international stunner for
us). Featuring peaches and cream sweetheart (and ex-Scoop cover girl) Sarah Pauley as the face of the
festival before she jets off to share her ridiculously long legs with the rest of the fashion world, PFF 2010
promises to be the biggest yet. September 9-15, perthfashionf estival.com .au .
