1. Prep the hair with L’Oreal Professionnel techni.art Liss
Control ($25) for hold and long-lasting smoothness.
2. Create a deep side part, using the arch of the brow as a guide.
Next, blow-dry in the direction you want the hair to fall.
3. Gather the lengths to one side, in line with the nape and
diag onally opposite the part. Tie off. To create the bun,
twist the lengths and coil into shape and pin into place.
4. To create the fishtail braid, split the ponytail into two
parts. Starting with the left one take a small piece from the
outside and fold it over into the right-side section. Do the
same from the right side; folding over into the left (similar
to a plait). Repeat down the entire length. Secure with tie.
5. For both styles, finish with L’Oreal Professional techni.art
Crystal Gloss ($25) for extra shine and L’Oreal Professional
Elnett Strong Hold Hair Spray ($19.95) to tame fly aways.
It’s time to try a new makeup range. Savoir Faire Cosmetics is a
mineral-based makeup that offers luminous long-lasting natural
coverage. Its West Australian creators, Leia Corrie and Carla
Zuks-Baker, have years of experience in the makeup industry,
including fashion, television, film and bridal, and have been able
to apply their knowledge of skin tones and types to the Savoir Faire
cosmetic range. From silk foundation to finishing powder, stunning
lipsticks and mineral foundation (and brushes) the range is made
from only the highest-quality minerals that are sourced from all
around the world. Visit sfcosmetic.com.au.
The new sleek braid and bun, the latest looks, are easy to
do. Keep hair off your face and embrace the refined style
displayed at the Perth Fashion Festival. “The models wore
one or two variations; a beautiful fishtail braid or a clean,
polished bun. Both position to the side,” describes hair
director Damien Rinalso for L’Oreal Professionnel.
