NEW KID ON
Daisy & Charlie has opened the
doors of its second boutique! If
the store name sounds familiar, it’s
because the Claremont store only
launched in July 2010. At the time
of print, the new Beaufort Street
store was undergoing a major
refurbishment with an eclectic
murial (of bumblebees, sunflowers
and chickens) being flown from
Italy to cover an entire wall in the
store. You can expect similar stock
to its big-sister store, with English
designers Blonde & Wise and Mina
WA, American labels including
Wildfox, Kill City and Seneca
Rising, and Australian designer
Tim O’Conner and emerging Perth
label Paper Skye (pictured).

Every fashionista flocked to King
Street recently with the arrival
of Sass & Bide. A favourite of
women in Western Australia, with
the label’s jeans a staple item in
many wardrobes, it’s a hot stop.
We love the mix of casual tees to
sexy cut-out dresses in the new
resortwear collection. Sass & Bide

BE SURE TO KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR
ZARA BRYSON WHO IS OPENING ANOTHER
OF HER SEDUCTIVE BOUTIQUES IN CLAREMONT. WE’LL
LET YOU KNOW AS SOON AS THE DOORS OPEN!
It’s the time of year when
we’re all on the hunt for that
perfect dress (or dresses).
While you’re on your expedition,
be sure to keep an eye out for
Betty Sugar’s new range of
They have been designed with the
urban-sleek type of girl in mind,
with the range offering up
cocktail dresses to eveningwear
designs that are timeless and
feminine. Available fr om Huss
(08) 9228 1204, other WA stockists,

They look stylish (and a little
dangerous), but knuckle-dusters
are taking over the ring scene.
Lovisa, just opened on Hay Street
(there’s also its Westfield Whitford
City store), has one of the best
ranges. We love the Tiger Head
(right), $24.99/large. Lovisa (08) 9486
8739, lovisa.com.au. Oh , we hear
Lovisa is heading to Mandurah.
STORE WITH HEART
West Leederville has a new boutique – Meg and Wally. Named after the
owners’ grandparents, the store is run by Scarborough sisters Lizzie and
Cath Watkins. “There are a lot of great up-and-coming labels out there
that we don’t really get access to here in Perth, so we wanted to... make
them available over here, and diversify the market a little bit,” Lizzie
says. “Rather than just offering clothes, we want to offer an experience.
Customers will be able to come into Meg and Wally, relax, browse through
our collection and check out some of the works from local artists that we’ll
be showcasing in store.” Exclusive labels to the store include Penny Anne,
Gat Rimon, David Lerner and some custom pieces by Forget Me Not
Jewellery. Meg and Wally, 2a/115 Cambridge Street, West Leederville.
The 70s are back, and local label Two Birds is embracing the decade
with flowing silhouettes, pastel hues and exotic prints in their summer
collection called Bicycles & Tricycles. The ready-to-wear label allows
women of all ages to embrace and enjoy life with handcrafted pieces
in silks, cotton and leather. Available fr om Iridescent Sea (08) 9438 1110,
other WA stockists twobirds.com .au .
