Niamh Clinton | Wasteland
This Paris-based label offers more than just
contemporary-edge designs – a collaboration
with artists, designers and musicians also
ensures it’s a standout within the industry.
Brand manager at Wasteland, Niamh
Clinton, is also a big fan of the label.
“The collection has influences of rock, army
and heritage imag ery. It’s perfect for your
everyday wardrobe,” she says. The label
is also known for its luxurious quality at
reasonable prices, ranging from $100 to $900.

Johann Kim| The Fox Hunt
Johann Kim, who owns Perth stores The
Fox Hunt and Pigeonhole, discovered this brand
in Scandinavia. He’s an expert in selecting brands
that bring a new edge to Perth. “Scandinavian
design is something that I’m a huge fan of and
feel that Australian guys could really do with
learning from,” he says. “The focus is on good
durable design that is practical for every day to
wear casually or for a night out but with some
simple detail such as inside-out prints, scoop-neck
tees or unique checked colours and patterns. Velour
is a good staple brand. They have a nice range of
chinos in a wide range of colours – great fit and
comfortable as anything. It’s a g ood brand for
someone looking for a clean, sophisticated, casual
look without too much fuss.” Prices start from $85
for tees, $145 for shirts and $189 for chinos.

Christian Tana | Parker & Co
There is less structure and more relaxed
form to this season’s collection, yet the
pieces still remain beautifully tailored.
That is why Christian Tana, director of
Parker & Co, says he chose it. He’s been
in the industry for 16 years, so he’s the
man in the know when it comes to luxury
fashion. “Pure wools, lightweight flannels
and knits in mushroom, charcoal, black
and indigo are prominent this season,”
he says of the collection. “This is a great
example of an understated yet sophisticated
look for autumn, complementing our Perth
climate.” Jackets are priced at $1595.
